Adobe Lightroom

In Adobe Lightroom – add keywords/tags to your images.

Click on toolbar ‘Metadata’ –> ‘Save Metadata to File’

Open the folder where your images are saved, select the images you wish to add to Photo Folders.

Once imported, you can search based on an existing keywords.  Alternatively, you can view the keywords assigned to an image by selecting an image and click on ‘i’.

Using Adobe Bridge, simply assign keywords to your photographs.

No other additional steps are required to ensure your keywords are written to the metadata of your images.

Apple iPhoto

In Apple iPhoto add keywords to your images.

Once complete, export your images with the keywords.  File –> Export

Next, check the ‘title and keywords’

Click on ‘Export’ and the place where you wish to save your files.

Apple Aperture

Using Aperture, simply assign keywords to your photographs.

No other additional steps are required to ensure your keywords are written to the metadata of your images.

Windows Live Photo Gallery

Add ‘Descriptive Tags’ in Windows Live Photo Gallery along with your ratings.  No additional steps are required.
